If you think our drinking habits are bad, a history lesson might give you some perspective.  New research shows that, during the 18th century, the Founding Fathers drank nearly three times what the average American drinks today, chugging an amazing six gallons of pure alcohol every year.  Taverns were moneymakers back in the day, and there were more taverns per capita than any other type of business in the country.  So honor those brave men who built this country from the ground up by throwing back a few brews!
