"Hey, won't you play another somebody just keeled over and died song".  Fortunately there's no such song but if there was it would probably make this list...The Co-operative Funeralcare's chart of songs played at funerals.   After all, Adele's "Someone Like You" did...at number 22!  "Never mind, (dead person), I'll find someone like you (but with a pulse)"

Playing "Someone Like You" at a funeral is about as appropriate as playing "My Sharona" at a tween's birthday party. It's not even a matter of selective hearing, like the kind that would have people playing a similarly break-up themed weepie like Dolly Parton/Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" (No. 12) or the yearning expression of insecurity that is the Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody" (No. 18). Those songs contain words like "love," "always" and "I'll be coming home, wait for me." (Though to answer the central question of "Unchained Melody," no he/she is not still yours because he/she is dead.) I get "Wind Beneath My Wings" (No. 3).  But there's really no mistaking that "Someone Like You" is about finding a different someone like the person that's being sung about since "Someone Like You" is called "Someone Like You."

Anyway, the full chart is below. Nothing is quite as hilarious as "Someone Like You," but then again, what is? And really? No "One Sweet Day"?
