For those of us who aren’t sharp enough to express our wants, desires and opinions through our own words on Facebook, there’s good news! Facebook is testing a new “want” button that will really let us express ourselves. Sure, the “like” button is one thing. We might really “like” the smell of buttered popcorn – but we really don’t “want” to smell like buttered popcorn all the time. On the other hand, the new “want” button will let us tell all our friends what we really want. Don’t look now, but it looks like Facebook is moving toward being a full-blown online store, with wishlists being public to your friends, basically turning your page into one big gift registry. Researchers have found that Facebook is more tempting than a lot of things – including sex. A study from the University of Chicago found that people can barely control themselves when hit with the urge to check Facebook or Twitter. Not even the intense yearning for sex or cigarettes is as powerful as it is to check in with social networks. (iol.co.za)
And keep your eyes open for clothing that links to your facebook account. For example scientists have developed a puffy vest that gives you a hug each time some "likes" something you've posted. Crazy,Huh?
